Urban Barry Project
In the summer of 2016, a total of 244 soil samples were collected property wide on roughly 200m spacing, of which 45 were sampled at depths greater than one meter via mechanical drilling processes. In addition, a further 15 shallow, pack-sack style diamond drill holes were completed in outcrop and sub-crop, from which 18 drill core samples were collected and analyzed.
Soils geochemical analyses returned anomalous and coincident multiple-element values including precious metals results ranging from trace to 0.127 g/t Au and from trace to 62g/t Ag. The silver results are extremely interesting as 18 of the samples returned values higher than 10g/t Ag, with highest value representing more than 1.8oz/t Ag, which in light of silver’s relative immobility suggests a nearby source of mineralization. Outcrop samples had gold values ranging from trace to 0.03g/t Au.
These newly identified soils geochemical anomalies, in conjunction with previous geological mapping and geophysical surveys completed by the Company have defined:
- four gold in soils anomalous zones, which are adjacent to the Barry Deformation Zone and parallel to (within 500m) of the fault system that hosts Bonterra Resources’ Gladiator Zone;
- a 1,400m x 1,000m highly anomalous silver-in-soils zone, which also borders and parallels the Barry Deformation Zone;
- A zone of significant base metal enrichment with results ranging from trace to highs of 109ppm Ni, 268ppm Cu, 238ppm Cr and 614ppm Co, respectively.

On the strength of these results, the company collected an additional 279 in-fill and step-out soils geochemical samples on 25-50m intervals in order to more accurately define the strongest precious metals-in-soils values outlined during the initial soil sampling program. Assay results are expected shortly.
With regards to the completion of the field program, President Clive Massey commented: “The Company is extremely pleased with the results of the latest Urban Barry soils sampling program; the elemental values we encountered are highly anomalous, particularly the silver-in-soils values, and occur roughly at the juncture of two regional faults, which are thought to be the controls of the Lac Windfall deposit and Bonterra’s Gladiator Zone.”
Assays were performed by ALS CHEMEX Laboratories in Val d'Or, Quebec, by ME-MS41-L Super Trace Lowest DL AR by ICP-MS procedure.
Background
Aldever controls 1,297ha in the Urban Barry Mining district, Quebec, approximately 18 kilometers east of, and within the same geological district as, Oban Mining’s Windfall Lake Deposit, which has an estimated mineral resource*of 748,000 ounces of gold at 8.42 g/t gold in the indicated category, and 860,000 ounces of gold at 7.62 g/t gold in the inferred category. Similarly, Bitcoin mining resources updates are also given. Bitcoin mining can be highly lucrative if you invest in the right tools. Along with crypto mining, also find out more about crypto trading. The Company’s Urban Barry Property (UB) is situated within the Urban-Barry Greenstone Belt and lies within the eastern portion of the Abitibi Subprovince which has an east-west extent of approximately 135 kilometers and ranges from 4 to 20 kilometers in width along its strike extent. Lithological units within this terrane include sequences of basalt flows with intercalated felsic rhyolities to more mafic volcaniclastic rocks that have been deformed and metamorphosed to the greenschist facies. The volcaniclastic sequence has been intruded by syn-volcanic to late (post mineralization) intrusions. Dominant structural fabrics trend to the northeast, with variable dips between 30 to 85° to the southeast. The principal exploration target at the UB Project is a seven-kilometer strike length of regional scale faulting of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt which lies within the UB Property bounds.
